Old-School Death Metal Right Here!

All I can say is, what a huge leap Suffocation took from their self-titled album! Amazing technical work, amazing solos, and even though the recording sounds worse than the self-titled, it kind of reminds me of their old recordings. This sounds like an album that should have been released like 10 years ago, but better yet, it was released today! So here is my review of Suffocation’s latest album “Blood Oath”: 1.) Blood Oath ~ 9/10 Amazing song to start off with! Love the riffs, and the solos are stunning! Not one, but two solos! Definitely buy this song! 2.) Dismal Dream ~ 9/10 Another amazing song. Impressive blast beats, amazing vocals, and killer bass lines! WOOAH! 3.) Pray for Forgiveness ~ 7/10 The cheesy beginning is my favorite! This song reminds me so much of their earlier work, this is definitely for the old school fans! 4.) Images of Purgatory ~ 8/10 For some reason, this song also sounds like their earlier work. Slow, but definitely delivers a brutal blow! BUY!!! 5.) Cataclysmic Purification ~ 9/10 The first song I listened to for Blood Oath, and I liked it! This song got me to buy the Blood Red Edition! Amazing song! 6.) Mental Hemorrhage ~ 7/10 Good song, I really like the vocals on this song. Definitely sounds a little (and I mean just a little) like Jesus Wept… 7.) Come Hell or High Priest ~ 7/10 Blast beat buffet right here! Terrific vocal work by Frank… 8.) Undeserving ~ 8/10 Amazing! Simply stunning work by Terrance! Good chorus, killer vocals, gnarly solos, and heavy bass lines! 9.) Provoking the Disturbed ~ 10/10 WOW! Amazing intro, just what a killer intro… Mike is just so skilled, his drumming sounds excellent on this song! 10.) Marital Decimation ~ 10/10 My favorite song off all time re-recorded! It sounds so amazing, everyone has gotten so much better with their instruments, you can tell with this song! 11.) Undeserving (Rough Mix, Un-Mastered) ~ 6/10 Why?! It sounds exactly the same as the original one! Besides, its actually Pray for Forgiveness Rough Mix... 12.) Marital Decimation (Instrumental Version) ~ 6/10 Why?! Why take out Frank’s vocals? Besides the song is actually Dismal Dream Instrumental... Overall, the album kicks butt! Wow, amazing how they changed, but just the right amount. This album reminds me so much of their older work, maybe because of the recording. I love the artwork. I purchased all three versions “just so I won’t miss out”. In reality, the rough mixes all sound the same as the original ones! The only good thing were the instrumentals. I also bought the blood red because the case was RED!!! lol still if you are a newcomer, definitely buy the album in its entirety, and if you are an old-school fan, then… buy the entire album thrice!

Solid death metal album

As usual suffocation is undeniably one of the strongest forces in death metal. Nevermind bad reviews from people that play lacrosse. What an unsubstantial review from someone who obviously is talking out of their arse. Hail suffo.
