*Incredible*

Bria Skonberg is not only one of the most talented young jazz musicians out there, she brings to the stage a vitality and electricity that has no match. She surrounds herself with talented musicians and enjoys her craft, both of which are evident in her music. I am by no means a refined Jazz connoisseur, simply someone who can't help but love this album. 'Fresh' is just a sample of the many-faceted talent that will no doubt yield many more great things in the near future. In a word, Bria is incredible!

Nice tunes... great playing... but....

Bria is fantastic! Keep the recordings coming, PLEASE!! This is a darn good debut album. The best part about it, besides Bria of course, is that it is so diverse. The biggest problem, however, is that it is so diverse. It doesn't quite deliver on an overall theme. If you love individual tracks, it's perfect, but if you believe that an album is an entire work of art itself, it doesn't quite make the mark. It's a bit scattered. Like I said, Bria is top notch. By the way, her original, "Won't You Come Out and Play", is the best track for sure. Bria's singing and playing is great! However, the big band arrangements are a little weak, and surprisingly Michael Kaeshammer's playing seems almost inappropriate for some songs. "I'll Never Be the Same", I'm pointing my finger at YOU! Girl, you need some Americans backing you up!

Very Fresh indeed and Musical

I've been a fan of yours since I saw heard you on the Jim Cullum show. Looking forward to a Dixie album by you in the future :-)
