Customer Reviews

Lanquid, chilled, and luxurious.

"Comfortable Void" is a solo, side-project of Daniel Segerstad: aka Sync 24, who is one-half of the Carbon-Based Lifeforms duo. The CD does have some of the same older CBL feel to it. This is the type of album, that gets better with repeated listening. As with most ambient projects, the music will subtlely melt into the background, and then surface intermittantly. The tone here is usually lanquid, chilled, and luxurious. There are a number of cuts which I really like: "1N50mn14', 'Nanites', 'Sequor', 'Something Something', and 'There Is No Spoon' a piece that's reminescent of "Drifting in Silence". Anyone who likes Surface 10, Amongst Myselves, Biosphere, and the aforementioned Drifting in Silence; should be pleased with this offering. A few cuts have pronounced beats like "Dance of the Droids" with a kind of "Zero One" feel to it. All and all, a good initial effort. Recommended.

Initial effort? Look up Source. Not a huge fan of some of these songs, while Source as a whole has to be one of my favorites of all time!
