Eugenia, sirena y profeta

Eugenia Leon y su voz acompañaron a miles (¿millones?) mientras la capital Mexicana se estremecia en los sismos geologicos y politicos del fin de siglo. Al final de los ochentas, esta voz iba del Auditorio Nacional, apoyando a las victimas del SIDA, al Zocalo, desafiando al malhumorado clima típico de Septiembre, y a la sala Nezahualcoyotl, infundiendo pasion a esos muros burocratas y secos. ¿Quién puede escuchar "Nos Caimos Juntos" o "Ay, Que Adios" y no sentir nostalgia por un amor de juventud, incluyendo la patria? Es por eso que escuchar "Contigo Aprendi," "Mambo Liberador," y "Luz" es remontarse a tiempos de inocencia, a manera de recobrar la esperanza y con bravia unirnos en la declaracion imposible de que la flauta todavia caracolea en "El Fandango Aqui."
