Motown is starting to feel it's groove

1962 is in my opinion, when Motown started their fantastic rise beyond being a regional record company. Marvin Gaye made his first recording around this time, Martha Reeves was getting her Vandellas ready to go, the Supremes were about 2 years away from Superstar status, and a young 12 year old blind black kid by the name of Stevland Morris released his first song. Of course, we know that child used the stage name of "Little Stevie Wonder" for his singles and albums, before he dropped the "Little" in his stage name. We would hear more from this young prodigy in the future. What impressed me about Motown for this particular year is that they had so much talent back then that the B-list singers/groups would be considered A-List singers/groups nowadays. A fun fact: future songwriter of the Holland/Dozier/Holland team, Eddie Holland, also had a few singles released in 1962, right before he switched over to the writing side he became much more famous for. His singing isn’t bad at all, and I think he might’ve had a long career if his songwriting wasn’t so spectacular.

Too rich for me... but good song selections

$60 is peanuts for this you guys!!

You guys say $60 is TOO MUCH??? Look at what yer gettin'!!! A 45 of say Marvin Gaye used to be anywhere from 59c to $1.29 for TWO songs, only one of which got played with any regularity...Say roughly a buck apiece...this is 112 songs for HALF of THAT!!! Excuse me, but where I come from, that's called A STEAL!!!!
And no warps, scratches or skips!!! AMAZING!!!
