One of the great modern violin concertos

The three works on this album are all highly original and, despite their modernity, appealing and wonderufl examples of how modern classic music is returning to form-oriented, traditonally inspired works----in combination with the best that the previous five decades of musical chaos and Boulezian Hell had to offer. If there is one thing that can be applauded from that time--it is the incredible harmonic freedom that when combined with old school formats-creates something that is brilliantly appealling and a great pleasure to listen to. This is deep music. Violent for sure and incredibly orchestrated. It is reminscient of M.Lindberg, early rautavaara, Shostakovich, Stravinsky, and Silvestrov. It is highly original and in my opinion one of the finest and cleanest examples of modern invention. After several listenings, you will be converted too. Exodus is an incredible modern masterpiece. Aditus is also very good.
