One of my favorites

This album contains a version of my favorites by Rodrigo -Concierto de Aranjuez for Guitar. This piece takes my breath away every time I hear it. It is one that touches the heart, and brings visions of romance and intrigue. This version by the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields couldn't be any finer. The quality of the recording and orchestrations enhance the experience. In my opinion this is a must have for anyone who enjoys classical guitar.

Really fantastic work...

I only just heard the Concierto para una Fiesta for Guitar and Orchestra last night while I was on my way home. I was so moved my that work that I had to get it. I have yet to listen to anything else on this album, but that alone was a really, really enjoyable 28 minutes. :)

The Phillips/Romeros recordings really captured the sound of the classical guitar like no other recordings. I don't understand why more of them are not available.

In this cooperative spirit, the ensemble worked toward the brilliantly energetic sound and high standard of musicianship that have become its hallmarks. Unable to generate sufficient interest in concerts, the ensemble...
