Boney Does It Again!

The man with the horn is back and in full effect... A slew of original compositions done as smooth as silk by the man that put the smooth in "smooth jazz." Just in time for the drop the top weather of Spring and Summer, Boney James delivers as only Boney James can... "Gulp", I barely even miss the always noteworthy cover tunes that anchor recent Boney James projects. I say "barely" because I in NO WAY would ever want to discourage Boney from doing more covers! It's just that this cd is so pleasing to my musical palette that I barely even notice the absence of a popular r&b or pop cover tune... And that's a credit to this incredible artist! I look forward to seeing him grace the stages of jazz festivals as the festival season heats up around the country. He brings it every time and this is no exception... A must have.

Born James Oppenheim, he grew up in New Rochelle, New York. The future Boney James studied clarinet when he was eight, switching to saxophone two years later -- the instrument which began to show his heavy influence from Grover Washington, Jr. When he was 15, his family moved to Los Angeles.
