Anette Hanshaw is a delightful performer-such a refreshing break from contemporary Pop/Post-Pop, R & B, Rap, Hip-Hop tunes of today. See for your self, she has innocence and style, a real one-of-a-kind singer and the lyrics, oh my, such nostalgia for bygone "yesteryear", and the Roaring Twenties ...boop-boop-de-boop:-)

One of the first great female jazz singers, in the late '20s Annette Hanshaw ranked near the top with Ethel Waters, the Boswell Sisters, and the upcoming Mildred Bailey. Unlike her contemporary Ruth Etting, Hanshaw could improvise and swing while also being a strong interpreter of lyrics.
