Its Different From First Born

So I went into this album thinking that it was going to continue with the sound of First Born, thier first studio album, but after a few tracks you will notice that this isn't much like First Born but not generic, it is hard to explain how this works but it happen. if you are in any way sick of how "Metalcore" sounds today give this a listen I can promise you wont be disappointed.

Straight Throat Punch

The Plot In You's first record "First Born" was an angry piece of melodic hardcore that let the world know these dudes weren't F&$#ing around. WIth their second record, Could You Watch Your Child Burn" they have created something that can only be described as pure evil while still being sedistically wonderful. This is much different than "First Born" but don't be turned off because this record is stupid heavy yet still haveing the melody that had on the first record. Musically they seem to have taking some off-timed riff influnence from bands like Norma Jean and The Chariot, while still keeping that Beauty in the Breakdown era Bury Your Dead, and infusing some Slipknot and Mason without making it sund like a giant mess. Stand out tracks are Troll, Fiction Religion, and Population Control. The entire record is great though so get it now!

Evident.

Honestly Landon's hard work is so evident in this album. Yeah, it's not like first born. But wants the point in putting out a new record that sounds like everything you already have out? It was a brave leap and I think they landed gracefully. As in the album is really good, you just need to give it a real listen and realize how much work he truly put into it.
