i was surprised

i recently downloaded this one thinking it might be kinda lame like the last couple of steely dan albums. not like those at all. relaxing is a word i would use to describe it.

Disagree with Album Review

A dynamite album, complete with the usual Fagen/Steely Dan harmonies, progressions, and enigmatic lyrics. It is indeed far more than background music, instead evoking memories of lost chances and distant loves. I've listened to it countless times in the last 20 years, and it always sounds as fresh as the first time I heard it. Before I bought it on CD in 1993, I believed "The Nightfly" was a '10'. With all due respect to "The Nightfly", it is now a '9'. Guess what's a '10'?
