Album Review

The second major-label album from The Sing-Off winners Home Free (it's the third, if you count the holiday record Full of Cheer, which arrived just months after their debut Crazy Life), Country Evolution, ironically enough, shows no sign of evolution from their first record. Then again, Home Free are just an a cappella group who love to sing. All they want to do is harmonize, happy to sing golden oldies or contemporary hits. After Crazy Life failed to burn up the charts with its originals, Columbia wisely decided to deemphasize commissioned original material on Country Evolution, finding space for new versions of such hits as "Honey, I'm Good" and "House Party," along with chestnuts "Elvira," "9 to 5," and "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," all of which overshadow the serviceable new tunes here. It's all good times and hijinks and frivolity, which, if you like the group, should prove irresistible.

Feels So Good

Been a fan of Home Free since the Sing-Off. These guys are so good ... their vocals and arrangements make me smile and pick me up out of my deepest funk. You can't help but singing along. Can hardly wait for the rest of the album!

This album just puts you in a good mood! Love it, love Home Free!! Give them a listen ;)

SO Awesome

OMG the music these guys make with just the human voice, no intruments or drum tracks it byond belief. You have to check them out, they are fabulous and I can't wait to hear more from them.

Comprising singers Austin Brown, Rob Lundquist, Chris Rupp, Tim Foust, and Adam Rupp, Home Free had a large enough fan base by 2007 to pursue music full-time. Essentially structured like a traditional barbershop quartet, with a lead tenor, two harmony voices, and a bass, with the fifth member providing percussion sounds, Home Free's...
