Great album

Love it

Lots of energy and some joy radiate throughout this album. Really, really liked it

This guy is fantastic!

Where is Matt Mays? I'll tell you where he should be... on everyone's Ipod and on a world tour. This guy's music is special. The Coyote album took a few listens to grow on me, unlike his other albums. It's funny now because there are songs that didn't excite me at first that now sound great. Like his other work, you need to listen to this in a variety of places: the car, the home, digital, disc, vinyl. There are a lot of layers to his music. "Take it on faith" is a great tune (and cool video too). "Loveless" is good, though I actually like the itunes bonus demo better. "Drop the bombs" is faster beat song. There are a couple of songs on here that sound a lot like a couple of songs elsewhere, a kind of tribute to his earlier work, but also an evolution into something new. "Slow burning luck" is my favorite song on this album after "Take it on Faith." I would love see and hear Mays live, so I hope comes to New England soon. I would love to see more of the acoustic and piano approaches we heard on his itunes sessions album.

The Guthries released their first album in 2000, Off Windmill, but while the album was praised by critics and fared well with fans, Mays opted to strike out on his own. Mays released his first solo...
