iTunes Review

Matchbox Twenty singer Rob Thomas produces pop music that has one ear cocked towards classic AOR through the decades, with the other ear turned towards keeping the productions electrified. Her Diamonds” (the album’s first single), “Give Me the Meltdown,” and “Someday” crackle with pop urgency “Fire On the Mountain” slides slightly towards world beat.

Wow. This album is amazing. Start to finish, It will blow your mind... Her Diamonds: 8/10 Its ok, I've heard it alot though, and its just not the best. Gasoline: 8/10 The beginning is dang sweet...Good song too. Give Me The Meltdown: 7/10: Cool and Catchy chorus, but the verse is kinda bland. And whats up with the monkey? Someday: 9/10 Slower, but cool piano and decent lyrics. Mocking bird: 8/10 Sounds too much like someday...Shouldve switched the order so they werent next to eachother. But it still owns. Real World '09: 10/10 Yes! This song is sweet! One of the best on the album... Fire on the Mountain: 9/10 Cool, a little long. But I love the chorus... Hard on You: 9/10: REally Catchy and fun to listen to Still aint over you: 7/10 Kinda lame...Nothin special. Natural: 8/10 still good though Snowblind: 10/10 This and real world take the cake. Wonderful: 9/10 I dig the horns... Cradlesong: 9/10 Great lyrics, sounds kinda like wake me up when september ends. Getting late: 8/10 Good closer. Bonus tracks are allright, but the her diamonds video is kinda lame... But this album is the best Ive seen in a long time.

I was fortunate enough to get a listen to this album early and I feel like this is Rob Thomas at his best. I have always been a fan of everything he has done, but this record is original and full of amazing contagious hooks. Do yourself a favor and buy this record.
