Editors’ Notes

TLC were no strangers to radio play after their hit 1992 debut album, but their 1994 follow-up rightfully transformed them into one of the biggest-selling girl groups of all time. Incorporating a sleek, funky new sophistication into their sound—and updating the juvenile vibe of their previous record with a grown-up sexuality—the Atlanta-based trio hit the R&B jackpot with unstoppable singles like “Creep” and “Red Light Special.” We’re still moved every time we hear the jazzy cautionary tales in “Waterfalls;” its video, depicting the consequences of drug violence and unprotected sex, is unforgettable.

TLC at their best (their R&B stage)

I know every song on this album word for word! It starts out with Intro-lude, which starts with Left-Eye says Crazy. Sexy. Cool! It continues in the background as two guys talk about TLC. I have to say I really like this track, even though the album would be just as good without it. Next up is Creep. The catchy debut single from CSC. It has a very nice R&B/Jazz flavor to it, the type of music T-Boz's vocals were made for. You all probally know all about this track. Definatly one of the highlights! Kick Your Game is a more Hip-Hop song, it defers from Creep very much. It is the first song on the album that Left-Eye raps in. It's a very sexy track, but not the best. Diggin' On You is the next cut. Another one of my favorites! It is another song with R&B/Jazz feel. It is a good song for relaxing. Number five is Case of the Fake People, my second favorite track on the album. In school I knew a lot of those, so this song means a lot to me. CrazySexyCool Interlude is T-Boz talking about what CrazySexyCool is about. It is pretty cool, but not a stand out since it's a interlude. Red Light Special is a nice sexy ballad about, of course, sex. Clocking in at five minutes and four seconds this is the longest song on the album. Waterfalls is the best R&B song. You could very safely say this is TLC's biggest hit ever. The rap by Left-Eye is very touching and is based on her stuggles in life. Intermission-lude is like Intro-lude without the two guys talking. Moving along, Let's Do It Again is about sex of cource. It's a nice slow song, but not as good to the rest of the album. If I Was Your Girlfriend is a pretty cool song. I used to really like it when I was 5 and had no idea what their songs meant. Sexy Interlude is a funny prank call by Chilli to Sean "Puffy" Combs. She is acting all sexy and then asks him for a favor. Then she says "I need tissue", Then she screams "So i can wipe my butt!" in other words than that, then the sound of a toilet flushing is heard for about 12-13 seconds. "Take Our Time" is a nice, sexy song and I think it's the first Chili fully sings lead. "Can I Get a Witness" is useless. "Switch" is an awsome track. It's about not being able to trust your man or woman. "Sumthin' Wicked This Way Comes" is one of TLC's best. The chours is so meaningful. So buy this album you won't regret it! (Also buy FanMail)

90's Platinum!!!

Hand's down one of the best albums to come out of the 90's. TLC not only was crazy sexy and cool, but they had messages behind their music.

Awesome.

I am a 19-year-old white boy who listens to rock music, but I still love this album. Even after almost 15 years it still stands up today.
