Crime Slunk Scene

This album is by far one of Buckethead's impressive albums, because so many of the songs have signature riffs, blistering tone, and encompasses so much. "King James' takes his signature shred off to the side to showcase a lot of great lyrical songwriting, and the final riff makes the song so worth it. "Buddy Berkman's Ballad' is a fun track, with a great funk feel to it. Be prepared to dance. 'Soothsayer' is definitely the highlight of the album (since it's also on Guitar Hero). It's one of the most beautiful tracks you'll ever hear, and a perfect song dedicated to his aunt. 'We Can Rebuild Him' makes metal fun, and shows how much you can do in just 3:36 without breaking a sweat. Half of this album is rock, funk, shred, beauty, while the other half encompasses metal and avant-garde experimentalism. It's definitely an album worth buying. But then again, so is ever other album Buckethead has produced.

An excellent showcase album for new listeners

This album has a little bit of everything. In the first half you have rockin riffs, funk, sweet solos, and cool whammy effects. After the epic Soothsayer, the album pulls a corkscrew, and Buckethead turns up the experimental and brings on the speed. Col Austin Vs. Col Sanders and We Can Rebuild Him are excellent tracks, but like any out of control speed machine, things start to crash and burn near the end with the annoying Mecha Gigan and the goofy and cartoon-like Slunk Parade. With the exception of track ten, this is a totally enjoyable album with alot of styles and memorable moments. Well worth it.

Best Buckethead Album!!!

Its about time iTunes got this album up! I love buckethead he is the best composer ever! He writes everything from bluegrass to metal and doesnt stop there... he writes great chill music as well. this is a Rock type album and my favorite of his numerous albums. If your in the mood for a guitar solo Soothsayer will blow your mind. Its fantastic. it flows nicely and then melts your face off with an epic guitar solo. King James is dedicated to LeBron James for his birthday. this album came out in 06' and is the best buckethead album out. There is not a song you wont fall inlove with i deffinently reccomend this album to any one who loves any kind of rock. Itll blow your mind!

Buckethead is one of the most bizarre and enigmatic figures in American underground and experimental music since Parliament-Funkadelic birthed their bevy of cosmic characters in the mid-'70s. An accomplished multi-instrumentalist best known for his virtuosic command of the electric guitar, Buckethead is one of the instrument's most recognizable contemporary innovators, his rapid-fire riffing, near-robotic fretwork, and idiosyncratic lead lines combining elements of Yngwie Malmsteen, Adrian Belew,...
