As far as complaints about it already being in the game files, it should be noted that not everyone owns Crysis for the PC (you can't get music out of an XBOX version, for example). Or what about people who have a friend who owns the game but don't have it themselves? That is why game soundtracks are released. As far as myself, I don't own the game, but I appreciate the score on it's own terms. And it is superb. Inon Zur creates a very diverse musical background. "First Light", for example, starts with a peacful rendition of the main theme with a boy soprana and orchestra, before transforming into a brutal and heroic action piece with the cellos and french horns and some Asian woodwinds and drums. It' a wonderful track, and I consider it one of the best on the album. However, I am dissapointed at the moment with the iTunes release. The first three tracks have skipping problems. iTunes needs to re-upload the first three tracks. Otherwise, and excellent work. Get it once iTunes fixes the problem.
its music for a game
this music was made for games, so it may not sound very good on its own, but try listening it while playing another game and see if it fits well. i reccomend copying this to your (if you have one) Xbox360 so you can listen to this while you play your favorite games. - ok i just listened to some of the songs and they skip EVERYWHERE Itunes needs to send out an update to this or something, because its actually starting to hurt (not phisically) to hear all these skips FIX IT!!!
I loved the game, but the soundtrack just doesn't capture its great moments, or even its true feel. I am frusturated by the lack of the good music, some just isn't there, doomed to belong only in the game. Oh well, what can you do?
