All kinds of awesomeness!

CREATIVE is the most accurate word I have for this album. I've never heard anything like it. By far, their best and most creative album yet! They still stick with that whimsical sound we all love, but with some rock in the mix. So many different elements are added in this album that aren't in any of their others. I love that Eisley had the freedom to make this record all on their own. It is completely untouched by the industry, so it is truly all Eisley! I love that their goal is not to market to a specific group, but to just stick to their style and keep being creative. Love the ambience and new sounds in this album! Vocals are excellent and LOVE that Chauntelle sings a song on this record. This album is much different from the others, but in the best way possible. Do yourself a favor and BUY!

Objectively, I feel this is Eisley's best record.

Simply the best

Once upon a time, I was looking up a movie preview on a website. I've long since forgotten which movie it was, but I like to think it was Prisoner of Azkaban. Regardless, or irregardless, depending on your preferences, I found myself on this site, watching two and a half minutes of a movie I was dying to see (for surely it was one of the Potter films) when I saw, in the corner of the screen, a link, a picture of three girls. Now, reader, at the time I hadn't any idea what these girls would come to mean to me, but my young self was curious, and I clicked the link and found myself watching the music video for Telescope Eyes. Years later, here I am, listening to Currents for the millionth time, even though I've only had it for one week. By a happy chance I found the Dupree family late one night after a Potter trailer, and now, without a doubt, I can say they are my very favorite band(s) in the whole world. Eisley, plus the extensions of Sucre, Merriment, and anything else they ever do, I will cherish as a gift, and reader, I recommend you do the same, for there are none others like them. Room Noises broke me from my constant streak of movie scores. Ambulance was there for me in a time when it became who I was. And now Currents... Well, every album is so very unique in its own way, so completely different from their albums before or following, and yet so similar, in that it will always be their voices, their hearts and souls. And Currents is my personal favorite, as I see it as something entirely new, yet the culmination of everything they've done before. I will never stop listening to these songs.

Top 3: Millstone, Save My Soul, and of course, Currents.

A family act featuring three sisters, their brother, and their first cousin, Eisley formed in 1997 when the DuPree siblings -- guitarist Chauntelle, singer/guitarist Sherri, singer/keyboardist Stacy, and drummer Weston -- began playing whimsical, dreamy alt-pop with bassist Jon Wilson. Originally called the Towheads, they began playing local coffeehouse gigs in their hometown of Tyler, Texas, during the following year, when Stacy was just eight years old. Over the next five years, the group wrote...
