Album Review

Melvins' love for Kiss goes far beyond most fans, for these set of three EP's each member of the band recorded a record of their own and released it exactly as Kiss did in 1978, right down to the parodies of the artwork. Dale Dale Crover features singing from the quiet Melvin, and his songs examine the world of grunge and power-punk not unlike the efforts of Dinosaur Jr. or Sonic Youth. Out of the bunch, Craver's record is the most accessible. Separately all of them stand out as highly original, but they should be purchased as a set.

Just Amazing....

This EP is a marvelous little gem of a lurker. One of the best records no one seems to have or remember.... Very good stuff!

Short and Sweet

hex me is a great tune, and i believe some of these old Melvins albums do not recieve enough credit, especially considering Dale Crover also helped Nirvana through there first series of unstable drummers,if you have not heard some of there older stuff i would recommend purchasing this and other melvins albums at a local music store.

(One of) The Best Melvins Album(s) Of All Time!!!

This is my favorite of the three Melvins band member EP's. "Respite" is my favorite.

The Melvins' first record was released in 1987; they've released many albums since then, but it wasn't until 1993 that they went to a major label, thanks to their protégé, Kurt Cobain. While some may find the Melvins dull and repetitious,...
