iTunes Review

The hard-hitting Nashville outfit follow-up the successful Until We Have Faces with Release the Panic. Produced by Howard Benson (Daughtry, My Chemical Romance, Bon Jovi), the new album pits their melodic sensibilities against passionate aggression and the results are glorious on "Perfect Life." Here vocalist Mike Barnes rages against false hopes and dreams with a stinging clarity. The full-length album is available to pre-order now.

Hear Me Out

A lot of people thing they are going in the wrong direction, and I wasn't so thrilled about the single at first. But I went to Winterjam and they were pre-releasing the album. I got one and I saw the "thanks" in the cover and Michael said he's never felt more alive in this album then any other. And I completely agree. This album is insanely amazing! I highly recommend it!

Great band!!

This band is amazing!! Great group of guys!! Thank you Red!!

I would say this is the "Minutes to Midnight" of Red's career. You know where Linkin Park 'started' changing their sound slightly from their first two AMAZING albums? Red is my 2nd favorite band, and all three of their albums still soar compared to this one. They strayed too far from the sound we fell in love with them for, and not to mention, Howard Benson produced this album, who has a tendency to make bands sound more generic.

All in all, this is still a good album, but nowhere near as good as their older albums. In order to seriously love this album, you might have to pretend this is a completely different band.

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Christian-based post-grunge outfit Red first got their start in Pennsylvania playing contemporary Christian covers to area youth groups. They soon grew tired of pop songs, however, and began crafting their own hard-edged rock tunes that often confronted personal issues from their lives. According to lead singer Mike Barnes, the name Red was chosen as a symbol "for the blood of Christ and what it represents: passion, pain, but ultimately, redemption." Comprised of Barnes, Jasen Rauch (guitar), Hayden...
