iTunes Editors’ Notes

Go ahead and judge this album by its cover: from her leather jacket to her new 'do to her no-nonsense expression, this shows Jennifer Hudson at her fiercest. Produced primarily by Pharrell Williams, JHUD abounds with energetic dance grooves. It's a sleeker, mostly new sound for Hudson, and she knocks it out of the park. "He Ain't Going Nowhere" is body-rocking funk, with a guest verse from Iggy Azalea that twists around the song's rolling beat. "It's Your World" is vintage roller-rink disco, complete with strings and R. Kelly's tempestuous crooning. "I Still Love You," produced by the U.K. duo Gorgon City, is garage-inflected pop that finds Hudson in full diva mode. This is a bold new look for the singer/actress, and it works.

Customer Reviews

Great singer, terrible songs

Over produced and under written. Of the song lyrics are repetitive and unimaginative.
She needs a new producer.

Boo

From the tracks I can listen to… I don’t get it.. She’s so talented and these tracks are boo...

Never wrote a review before this album

If you love R&B/soul, and you listen to older songs all the time and say to yourself that they just don't make music like that anymore, then you're wrong! Dangerous and It's Your World are incredible. I cannot wait until the full album is released.
