Album Review

The fourth album from these Norwegian new agers takes a more ambitious approach than its predecessors. Based around a conceptual theme having to do with the millennium, eternity, and destiny, Dawn of a New Century is primarily comprised of languid instrumental tracks. It doesn't get much more soothing than this.

Dependably Great!

Secret Garden is hard to beat. They play wonderful instrumentals, but in my opinion it is in vocals that they really shine. My favorite Secret Garden song of all time is here on this album, "Prayer". Give it a listen. If you like it, I also recommend "Dreamcatcher" (on this album), "You Raise Me Up" and "Gates of Dawn" (Once in a Red Moon), and "Always There" and "Half a World Away" (Earthsongs). And that's just some of the vocals; their instrumentals are beautiful and wide-ranging, covering a lot of differing styles.

Absolutely Amazing!

This album, like all of their others, is among the most beautiful and moving New Age music to ever grace an audience's ears. I recommend Secret Garden to absolutely everyone.

Great Music.

After listening to "Moving" and "The Rap", I gave in to my need for more Secret Garden. This album consists of a wide range of music, from the somber tones of "Sona" to the happy jig called "Lore Of The Loom". Overall, the album is calm and relaxing, and I love listening to it.

Secret Garden's own Eurovision victory was notable as the first (and, so far, only) time a predominantly instrumental song has won the competition -- the contributions of guest vocalist Gunnhild Tvinnereim were clearly written to ensure the piece met with...
