A Solid Soundtrack to An "Okay" Yet Innovative Movie

The soundtrack by itself stands up pretty well telling the story of two families at war. Sticky Fingaz does an incredible job writing the script to the entire movie. The production is strong. There are a few beats that definitely outshine others but general it's solid. There are some nice guest appearences from Treach and a great appearence by Omar Epps. Omar Epps holds the highest point on the soundtrack on the track "I need some advice." If you pay attention you will even hear Kurupt on a track for a few brief seconds. You're not going to hear Sticky Fingaz / Fredro Starr go as hard as they do on their solo / Onyx albums. So if you're expecting that you will be disappointed. But all isn't lost. There are four new tracks from Onyx / Sticky Fingaz at the end. All of them hold up great. Debo The Game is an older track but is still the standout. If you want a solid album to listen through that tells a story, with some quality production and decent lyrics. Worth the purchase.
