EDITORS’ NOTES

For their fourth full-length album, the metal crew deliver deathcore fueled by pummeling drumbeats and machine-gun riffs. Most notable, however, is the return of frontman CJ McMahon after a break from the band. His trademark growling vocals and primal screams sound as invigorated and vicious as ever, forcing extraordinary intensity onto the brutal lyricism. Dear Desolation is unrelenting: “Slaves Beyond Death” opens the record with savage breakdowns, while Lee Stanton’s punishing drumming on “The Son of Misery” sets the insidious, thrilling atmosphere.

Parental Advisory: Explicit Lyrics.

After A Year....

I can't believe I haven't written on this album yet! I absolutely love the direction the band took on this album! The blend of Deathcore and Black Metal is absolutely perfect! These guys have gradually become one of my favorite bands of all time and this album is a great example why. I was devestated to hear CJ left, but that time off seemed to help him grow in more ways than one... and it shows! I can't wait to see what this band's future holds, because it is bright.... errr super dark.... you get the idea. Just buy the album.
