Zesty, rocking, and poetic

He opened Bruelmania of 90's with this album. His songs inherit tradition of Brassens, Brel, Reggiani, and Sardou but additionally have rockn'roll beats and bruel's life. He is a singer and composer with immense talents and tells his own stories with poignant honesty. My favorite is "J'te l'dis quand memê" and "Place des grands hommes". He is a French icon as singer, actor, and poker player. In my opinion he should be recognized in the States as well for his brilliance and poesy. I have been looking for his albums. Finally itune offers them. Thank you, itune. I bought this album and brought some songs to my students in French classes. They get great kick out of his songs.
