Reseña de álbum

Several Thin Lizzy best-of collections have surfaced over the years (such as 1981's Adventures of Thin Lizzy and 1984's Lizzy Lives!), but the best two are undeniably 1996's Wild One and 1991's Dedication. While not as extensive as Wild One (only one track is featured from their '80s work), Dedication contains more early selections than the other mentioned titles. But the real attraction for Lizzy buffs is the inclusion of the previously unreleased title track, which was completed by the other members years after Lynott's passing in 1986. Elsewhere, often-overlooked tracks like "She Knows," "Fighting My Way Back," and "Cowboy Song" get to share the spotlight with such familiar faves as "The Boys Are Back in Town," "Bad Reputation," "Jailbreak," "Waiting for an Alibi," "Dancing in the Moonlight," and "Don't Believe a Word." Also included is an essay in which Lynott is quoted as saying that he'd like Lizzy to be remembered as a great guitar band (in the tradition of the Yardbirds, etc.). After hearing the great tracks on Dedication, you'll be reminded that there was so much more to this legendary band.

Thin Lizzy was and still is one of the greatest Rock bands of all time!

What can I say about these guys? They just make you wanna pick up a guitar and rock and they also make you cry buckets, because Phil Lynott was one of the best performers and songwriters ever...period! Think about all the bands you've listened to in your life, the impact those bands had and still have to this day and then listen to a Thin Lizzy album again (especially this one and Live and Dangerous),you will know right away that these guys were very special. This is definitely one of the best compilations ever. It's one thing to listen to rock music and bang your head to it and play air guitar, but these guys started it all,the guitar duels, the great lyrics and of course Phil's amazing voice.Buy it! Just buy it crank it and enjoy the ride!

One of the most underrated and unappreciated rock bands of all time(r.i.p. Phil). Has all the favorite "non-radio" hits such as Cowboy Song and Dancing in the Moonlight. A must have in any rocker's collection.

I am addicted to Thin Lizzy

While I missed most of the 70's and early 80's, I have heard the name Thin Lizzy banded about by various musicians. It wasn't until watching a live clip of Thin Lizzy that I began to explore their music. This is where I started. Wow! Not having a lot of experience with Thin Lizzy's music, I would have to say that this is probably the best layout of a compilation I have heard. I didn't know the hits from the misses, but after listening through a couple of times I generally find myself nodding along in agreement with the inclusion of each track. From rockers to gentle ballads it seems like some effort went into constructiong this retrospective. I give it five stars. As for the music...excellent. Thin Lizzy was defineately ahead of its time. This is a great collection of guitar rock I would recommend for the casual fan and the dedicated fan alike.

Despite a huge hit single in the mid-'70s ("The Boys Are Back in Town") and becoming a popular act with hard rock/heavy metal fans, Thin Lizzy are still, in the pantheon of '70s rock bands, underappreciated. Formed in the late '60s by Irish singer/songwriter/bassist Phil Lynott, Lizzy, though not the first band to do so, combined romanticized working-class sentiments with their ferocious, twin-lead guitar attack. As the band's creative force, Lynott was a more insightful and intelligent writer than...
