Give you peace

This album has only given me inner peace, good songs, great as a group - an illustration of the downside to buying singles only

absolutely CRUCIAL

At the death of the 60's, few albums more exemplified the next stages of rock's long wayward course. Not to be trifled with, Deja Vu brings it all back home, chiseling the legacy of what ruled about Californian (and Canadian!) rock.

Truly Good

This album followed up their eponymous debut perfectly. And Neil was a lovely addition. The first side of this album is flawless. I can't name many songs that equal the level of Carry On, and i know many songs. The last three tracks are forgetable, but not nessisarily completely weak. but if 4 + 20 was Ohio, we'd have us a perfect album for sure. The lyrics and diversity are very fresh and very pleasing to the ears. You dont get tired of the album, because one track is a heavy rockin jam and the next is a beautiful harmonic masterpiece.
"And you know... it makes me wonder, whats goin on, under...THE GROUND? Do you know, do you wonder whats going on down under youuu?" -genius.
Our house is phenominal and catchy, Teach Your Children is a classic, Helpless is passionate, and you'd have a very very hard time convincing me that the CSN version of Woodstock doesn't completely blow the blan, slow Joni Mitchel original out of the water. (nothing against her, Court and Spark is one of my favorite albums)
This was very innovative, and got folk-rock mainstream. This lost the Grammy of Album of the Year to Bridge Under Troubled Water. I believe that this was the superior album, and deserved it more.
Its a f**kin crying shame that music like this isnt made anymore. We have a saccharine, spoiled, uninspired generation of "musicians" now. Fleet Foxes has nothing on these legends.

The musical partnership of David Crosby (born August 14, 1941), Stephen Stills (born January 3, 1945), and Graham Nash (born February 2, 1942), with and without Neil Young (born November 12, 1945), was not only one of the most successful touring and recording acts of the late '60s, '70s, and early '80s — with the colorful, contrasting nature of the members' characters and their connection to the political and cultural upheavals of the time — it was arguably the only American-based band...
