iTunes Review

Anderson East dives into classic soul on his sophomore release, paying thrilling respect to doo-wop (“Only You”), Stax-style pounders (Satisfy Me ) and country soul (“Devil In Me”). Whatever the style, everything is knitted together by Anderson’s deliciously worn-and-torn vocal. It’s a short ride at 33 minutes, but producer Dave Cobb’s perfectly poised arrangements and the depth of Anderson’s emotion ensure it’s a very satisfying one.

Every song on this album is great! Unique sound and I can't wait for more music from him.

The three cuts released as of July 2 are terrific. Why are they catorigized as pop? They are clearly R&B/Soul. Can't wait for the rest of the album to drop.

Talented beyond measure

Anderson's music is incredible. He has such a special voice that has a gritty and almost raw aspect to it. Definitely buy the album and go see him perform live because he is fantastic and so is the band. I wouldn't categorize this as Pop like iTunes did. He describes his music as folk soul funk, which is appropriate. Great music!
