Demanufacture IS Fear Factory

Three stars? Remember that this was released in 1995. Think about all the bands out today that are doing what these guys did TWELVE years ago. This album is a genre-defining, groundbreaking masterpiece. Just my personal opinion, but nothing else by Fear Factory even holds a candle to Demanufacture, from Obsolete to Transgression. Demanufacture is timeless, and it sounds like it could have been recorded yesterday. An album far ahead of it's time deserves more than three stars.

Their Crowning Achievement!

I believe Demanufacture to be one of the best industrial metal albums ever. It totally blew me away the first time I heard it. The atmospherics and assorted sound effects create a bleak and dark world filled with pain and yearning. Burt's vocals add a distinct duality that transcends music and taps into that archetype of good versus evil. The whole concept of man versus machine is simply a modernized version of that archetype, and I believe that FF are preparing us for what is to come. Oh, by the way, the album totally rocks!

Their best...and best of the genre!

Please, just buy the song Demanufacture (song 1). By the end of the song when Burton had screamed at me that he had no more god-damn regrets, i think my hair had turned white. Then when Self Bias kicked in I'm pretty sure I peed my pants a little.

The group was formed in Los Angeles in 1990 by vocalist Burton C. Bell (formerly of Hate Face), percussionist Raymond Herrera, and guitarist and ex-Douche Lord Dino Cazares. Following their contribution of two tracks...
