Customer Reviews

Let me start by first saying....WOW! I absolutely love melo-death metal and Dagon has certainly delivered some of the best I've heard. The songs are brutal, yet epic. The title track demonstrates this to the highest degree. The song is nice and thrashy, but the lyrics and melody tell a very sad story (read the lyrics over and you'll see what I mean). This album is definately for fans of Amon Amarth and Dark Tranquility. Awesome to see that Christian metal has finally caught on to melo-death. BUY IT!

I love this album, it makes me want to be a viking.

Intense Thrash Metal with Death/Black Vocals!!

This album rocks your socks off! I love good trash/speed metal and Dagon has plenty of it to deliver. The vocals are Death growl style or a more high-pitched Black metal variety. For the most part they are pretty distinguishable, which isn't always that common in this vein of vocal styles. I personally like being able to understand the vocals - or get used to a vocalist style enough that you can understand it. There are some great guitar leads & solo's, lots & lots of heavy riffing, and some well-placed breakdowns. If "classic", "speed" and/or "thrash" are the ways you like your metal, then Dagon is for you. Peace.

However, despite being signed to a Christian...
