Timeless Honesty

This album has always been a favorite of mine. And now I know what a wise desert island choice it would be, having held up for twenty years.

I’ve long considered Laurie Geltman to be one of the best lyricists in American music. Her artful turn of phrase will wrench your heart as only raw honesty can. And the music expertly sustains the emotion while constantly moving forward. These songs hold the same excruciating beauty they were born with.

Though Laurie has no doubt conquered the complexities of LA, Boston still feels her gone, and celebrates every time she comes home to play.
