Version 2.0

It should be noted that the version of 'One A.D.' that appears here is not the original release; This version was reformulated and remixed as Version 2.0, in the year 2000 and is featured here. Songs 5 and 10 did not appear on the original 1994 release, replacing 'Spectral' by Higher Intelligence Agency and 'Shanti' by Banco De Gaia.

The original track-listing is as follows:

1.01: Templeroy - Dubometer
1.02: Pentatonik - Devotion
1.03: G.O.L. - Soma Holiday
1.04: Banco De Gaia - Desert Wind (interstate 101 mix)
1.05: Higher Intelligence Agency - Spectral*
1.06: A Positive Life - The Calling
1.07: Sandoz - Beam
1.08: Higher Intelligence Agency - Harmony Angel
1.09: Banco De Gaia - Shanti (black mountain mix)*
1.10: Original Rockers: Mecca of Space**
1.11: A Positive Life: The Calling (Ambient Mix)

It's also noteworthy to point out that song #9 is listed as 'Rockers Hifi' but listed as 'Original Rockers' on the first edition of the release. I feel that the first edition of this release is stronger than the substituted songs added to the album at a later date. If it was the first release, I would've awarded it 5-stars.

Here's the groundwork

This is electronica created when it was still undefined and taking in elements from all over, and if you're looking to fall into an electronic deamscape with sounds and directions which haven't yet gotten self-aware this is a great choice.

Worth the Money

I first heard of this complation from a radio show and just fell in love with all the the tracks but I would have to say my fave is G.O.L. 's Soma Holliday you can actualy see Huxley's Brave New World. You should also check out 2, 3, and 4 A.D. from Waveform Records.
