Great Melodies

Everyone will be familiar with "You Belong To Me" but the great songs are spread out throughout this entire collection. "Boys In The Trees" is an amazing song that even Tori Amos admitted "she wish she had written". "Back Down To Earth" is also a melody that will stay with you. The lone dance number "Tranquillo" was a hit in the disco's. Check out the hidden gems on this Carly Simon collection.

I have ALL of Carly's albums, literally purchsed as each was released from the 70's to current. Her best songwriting is in this album and in Another Passenger. Phenomenal song is the 'Haunting' which is brilliantly composed with heart touching lyrics only pushed into the listener's soul by her beautiful singing. This song holds up through the years as a very touching human experience song. Listen and get the goose bumps.

Great Album

This whole album and cover photos (I guess you don't get photos on a digital down load) are great. I liked the album so much I bought the song book (decades ago). Best song for me is "For Old Times Sake". Carly sings in her higher register on this song. Beautiful, longing song. Very intricate guitar work which I wish they would have brought out more in the mix.

The Simon Sisters had a chart single with "Winkin' Blinkin' and Nod" in April 1964. But Simon's solo debut did not come until...
