iTunes Review

Offering up 35 tracks of groundbreaking funk, The Essential Earth, Wind & Fire lives up to its title, delivering the band's biggest hits, alongside crucial album tracks from the ’70s and ’80s that capture their range and depth. From the uplifting spirit, shining brass, and falsetto harmonies of "September," through the deep, soulful groove of "Kalimba Story," to gorgeously lush, jazzy Philip Bailey showcases like "You," this collection is ideal for new fans who want to explore beyond their biggest hits.

Customer Reviews

I'm only 18 but I grew up with pretty much this Album lol. My dad would let us listen to it so I knew pretty much every song. I feel like I was raised correctly.

Why do we have to buy the entire album for Sunday Morning?!?

EWF is one my favorite groups. You get a taste of everything the did throughout most of the long history in this set.

I actually purchased the CD with these songs on them a few years back, but it did not include Sunday Morning as this song was a more recent 1990's hit. I hate it when they lock individuals songs from being purchased. Other than that, no complaints.

Different Tracks

I bought this CD years ago in hard copy form and the track listing here is quite different. They've replaced songs (ex-Evil) and put others on.

Lead singer Philip Bailey gave EWF an extra dimension with his talent...
