iTunes Review

Breaking Benjamin have made a career of venting, and they’ve squeezed a ferocious discography out of frontman Benjamin Burnley’s well-documented angst and anxieties. Their third album got a serious boost from hard-hitting new drummer Chad Szeliga, while taking Burnley’s gloomy worldview to intense new extremes. The result is some of the alt-metal battlers’ best songs, whether invigorated by dueling sky-high riffs (“Unknown Soldier”) or quiet-to-loud dramatics (“The Diary of Jane”). “Until the End” exemplifies the band’s radio-friendly onslaught, balancing naked aggression with unabashed melodicism.

First Review, Great CD From A Very Talented, Yet Underrated Band

First off I have to say Breaking Benjamin is one of the better bands out there today and don't get the recognition they deserve. Great cd overall to add to their other two excellent releases. They are a great rock band who usually produce great catchy guitar riffs and Ben Burnley's voice is very unique from other singers out there. If you like these guys, click the buy button and enjoy, if you've never heard of them, check them out. Breath should be the next single after diary of jane.

Woo Hoo!!!!

Oh, Hell Yah! I've been waiting for this album, ever since they anounced in December that a new one was to come in the summer. I can't say I bought it on iTunes, since I purchased it at Target, but I wanted the special edition (Acoustic Diary of Jane). The explicit edition is recomended, because it yields no skips in the songs, which I find to lessen the overall quality. In this new album, Breaking Benjamin continues to deliver a set of their classic hard rock. You will find their classic sound, combined with new rythmns where the guitarist really shows what he can do, compared to earlier albums, where he played the same thing over and over (more solos). Diary of Jane is obviously the hit song, but you will find these others as my favorites: Evil Angel Until The End Breath Topless Dance With the Devil (Main Favorite) The Intro and Outro Phobias I hope you enjoy the album as much as I do.

Amazing Album top to bottom!!!!!! BB has done it yet again!!!!!!

Breaking Benjamin has once again crafted an awesome piece of music mastery. Between "We Are Not Alone" and now "Phobia", Breaking Benjamin, I believe, have given us two of the best modern rock albums ever! Songs like Breath, Evil Angel, Dance with the Devil, Unknown Soldier, and my personal favorite Until the End prove that while Diary of Jane is indeed an incredible song it is not alone on this album. I would not be surprised if Phobia goes on to win numerous awards and honors. It is easily one of the best albums of our time! Rock on BB, Rock on...

Formed: 2000 in Wilkes-Barre, PA

Genre: Rock

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Pennsylvania natives Breaking Benjamin, named after founder and lead singer Ben Burnley, play a brand of metal-tinged alternative rock that came to define the sound of mainstream rock in the early 2000s. Indebted equally to the minor-chord dirges of first-wave grunge rockers like Alice in Chains and the pyrotechnic bombast of vintage arena rock, Breaking Benjamin became one of the most popular rock bands in the United States, scoring a number one with the single "Breath" in 2007. Two of their albums,...
