Brilliant!!!

The man is amazing. If you've never seen him live, you will never realize the true brilliance of Andreas Vollenweider. I wish he could tour the U.S. with his whole crew but the quartet was amazing nevertheless. I had the honor of meeting him after the concert. I will never forget it! Yes, Andreas, your music can and does make this world a better place!!!

What?!?!

OBVIOUSLY, that last poster had NO idea what they're talking about. Vollenweider has always been at the forefront of New Age musical composition. I'd give the album 5 stars if it wasn't stuff I'd heard before, even though the arrangements of these previously released pieces are done very well. The live sound of the instruments is really something great to hear, and the bass in these songs KICKS. No one sounds like Vollenweider, and to compare him to, of all people, Yanni, is a little ridiculous.

Great Value

18 tracks for $9.99 - pretty amazing price. These are all gems. Its hard for me to listen to some of these without being on their respective albums as it throws me off a bit (I am so used to listening to the full albums), but this is a great album of great work. There seems to be quite a lot of live recording on this too - which is a nice change.

The Swiss harpist, however, quickly transcended the need for alternative record sales when his albums simultaneously broached Billboard's pop, jazz, and classical charts in 1986. Born in Zurich in 1953, Vollenweider was ensconced in the city's fine art scene, courtesy of his father, one of Europe's leading organists. After becoming...
