iTunes Review

Four studio albums, 20 million albums sold, seven GRAMMY nominations, and more than 10 years of service all lead to the inevitable greatest-hits album. To add to the fun and prove they still exist, The Killers here add two new studio tracks— “Shot at the Night” (produced by M83's Anthony Gonzalez) and “Just Another Girl” (produced by the Stuart Price). Any Killers release that includes “Mr. Brightside,” “Somebody Told Me,” “When You Were Young," and “Miss Atomic Bomb” gives a well-rounded point of view for newcomers to figure where they stand with the group. Unlike many of the bands that followed them since their 2003 breakthrough, The Killers avoid the nervous, jittery, over-layered sounds that make it hard to rock. Frontman Brandon Flowers is a classic lead singer in the best tradition, while guitarist Dave Keuning, bassist Mark Stoermer, and drummer Ronnie Vannucci deserve the credit for crafting a definitive band sound that hasn’t been afraid to try new things or to simply be a band. The deluxe edition adds three tracks, including Calvin Harris’ remixes of “When You Were Young” and “Be Still” and the original demo for “Mr. Brightside.”

Band of the century

Disappointed there's no "Bones"

I'm looking forward to this, but I wished they included their song "Bones". It's one of the best songs they released and never got the attention it deserved as a single. It even charted better than some of the songs that they did include. Too bad many casual fans might never hear that song! The new single sounds great, and definitely expands their sound to better fit today's radio, although it's tough to predict anymore what will be a hit.

sooo gooood

i couldn't have picked a better list of songs for this album, although i love all their music. the killers are real music!

Formed: 2002 in Las Vegas, NV

Genre: Alternative

Years Active: '00s, '10s

Few bands in the early 2000s rose so quickly to the forefront of pop music as the Killers. With a mix of '80s-styled synth pop and fashionista charm, the band's street-smart debut, Hot Fuss, became one of 2004's biggest releases, spawning four singles and catapulting the group -- particularly their dandyish, 22-year-old frontman, Brandon Flowers -- into the international spotlight. Hot Fuss reveled in the garish glitz of the band's native Las Vegas, spinning tales of androgynous girlfriends and illicit...
