Solid album!

HFTD gave us all a big scare when they went dormant after releasing their self-titled album. The wait has definitely been worth it! Dissimulation brings with it passionate vocals, ear-piercing guitarwork, and energetic drums all mixed with a very Dimmu Borgir-esque orchestral mix. For me personally, this album is a dream come true. I love it when classical music is paired with metal, for they're both equally intellectual in style and delivery, and HFTD does it perfectly. This is a CD driven by riffs and melodies rather than breakdowns. It's for any metalhead.

The lyrics are also a plus if you're a little sick of the shallow and negative stuff out there in the metal world. There's a wholesome Bible and faith driven message here that's very refreshing.

The album is a work of art as a whole. If you don't get the entire thing, you're cheating yourself!

very good

For anyone that is a huge fan of Becoming The Archetype and dying for more of that progressive/cathedral style metal then Hope For The Dying are just for you. Personally, I have always wanted more of the becoming the archetype feel to the Christian metal scene. In a genre being plagued by screamo bands like Underoath; it is good to see bands staying on the course of dramatic and extremely talented heavy metal.

Dissimulation captivates the listener. The song Orison is amazing and puts you in another world.

One of the best metal albums!

You can play the album on a loop, there is orchestral arrangement, and amazing musical talent! What more could you ask for. If you like between the buried and me you will love this band trust me.
