WHY TAMPER WITH GREAT RECODINGS?

I have no idea why these older artists tamper with their original recordings ..... trying to do re-makes of signature hits that made that made them famous...... It's asking for a train wreck that dosen't need to happen!

Are you serious, Tommy? Are times so tight now that it's come to this?? This is karaoke without the good sound system...more like the home version in front of the mirror with a Silvertone mic and a Coby boombox. Classics are classics. Let's let the originals speak for themselves. That's why they were recorded--- so we could hear them as they were intended to be again and again.

Widely perceived as one of the archetypal bubblegum artists of the late '60s, Tommy Roe cut some pretty decent rockers along the way, especially early in his career -- many displaying some pretty prominent Buddy Holly roots. In fact, Roe's initial pop smash, 1962's chart-topping "Sheila," was quite reminiscent of Holly's "Peggy Sue," utilizing a very similar throbbing drumbeat and Roe's hiccuping vocal. The singer had previously cut the song for the smaller Judd label before remaking it in superior...
