About Frankmusik
Frankmusik is Vincent Frank, a vocalist, keyboardist, and producer from Croydon, England whose compositions nod to the Crystal Castles' chiptune-fueled mania and Imogen Heap's intelligent, bittersweet electro-pop. His debut EP, Frankisum, was released on Apparent Records, a label he co-founded with David Norland, in the fall of 2007. He was signed to Universal/Island soon after, boosted by the buzz generated by that disc. The full-length album Complete Me -- featuring the singles "In Step," "Confusion Girl," and "3 Little Words" -- appeared in 2009 and hit number 13 on the U.K. albums chart. That year also saw him open multiple U.K. tour dates for Keane and Pet Shop Boys, and continue to remix other artists, including Lady Gaga ("Eh Eh [Nothing Else I Can Say]") and Erasure ("Phantom Bride"). Frank then relocated to the U.S. and signed with Interscope for his sophomore effort, 2011's Do It in the AM, which hit Billboard's Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart. He also produced the Erasure album Tomorrow's World, released the same year. No longer with a major label, he offered Far from Over, a pay-what-you-can fundraising EP to benefit Oxfam, via his website in 2013. His third LP, Between, and its acoustic version, Between Us, arrived later that year. The latter featured the new piano ballad "Hymn" (a play on the homonym "him"). By Nicole followed in 2014, and For You appeared a year later. The musician's sixth full-length studio album, Not Right Now, was expected in the summer of 2016. ~ Margaret Reges & Marcy Donelson
