Another hurricane victim
I am also a Louisiana resident and I agree completely with what was said by the previous reviewer. I went the to city about once a week. I live about 30 miles north in Covington. My home had an oak tree through the roof. We had to eat MRE's for about three weeks without even running water. What made New Orleans such a great city wasn't just the food. It was the people, the music and the architecture. So much of that is gone now, the most anyone can do now is work to bring back the music and some of the architecture. Come see Mardi Gras this year, and help bring back what to life, a shell of a city. Get an idea of the spirit of the town, with the music in this album, it will tell you in its own words the value of New Orleans. It's not just a city, but a culture, and a way of life.
how dare you talk bad about my new orleans!
to the guy why said it was God's will... what is wrong with you man? new orleans wasnt full of sinners and bad people...it was full of people full of life and a culture of its own, you dont know new orleans so how dare you criticize its people!! this was a natural disaster that you should be thankful that it didnt strike your home...hm so where do you live...lets say you hometown was destroyed by a cat 5 hurricane...well it was destined to be destroyed along with your home, your school, your family, your friends, and your LIFE. new orleans was so much more of a town than any other in the united states, we had our own culture...a music that is like angels to your ears, the food was like heaven in your mouth, and the people there were so caring and loving that everyone stuck out a helping hand for each other. the news really likes to point out the things that make you want to watch, the things that makes new orleans look like its full of sinners, well theres only a small handful of those people and i can garuntee you that every city has people like that so next time you try to make an argument like this figure out the facts! this is my home and a lot of other peoples homes so its cool if you wana make yourself believe that but dont tell people that their home was God's will to be destroyed, that their dad, grandmother, sister, or best friend was God's will to die..because that is the most hurtful and disrespectful thing you can say to someone...c'mon man!!!
Beautiful Tribute to a Beautiful City
Nothing can destroy the Soul and Spirit of New Orleans. What a fantastic collection of music.
