Top 10 All Time Discs

This is not only Consolidated's best effort but it is also one of the essential recordings of the '90's. Passionate music by passionate artists, but don't get me wrong, this isn't 'passionate' music in the romantic sense. Hard, abrasive, danceable industrial music that is informed as much by hip hop as it is CNN! This was the soundtrack to my high school days. Open your mind and give it a might even learn something!

Don't believe the review.

I could not disagree more with the album review provided. The beats on this album are quite slick and bass heavy. Very funky too. The lyrics are the whole point however. Consolidated has an agenda. Ultra left-wing social messages that were responding directly to the post-Reagan, George Bush Sr. America. The album is solid. I suggest it to anyone who isn't afraid to think when they are dancing their butt off. This album is very transitional musically, bridging Industrial's edge with the growing "rave" scene's polish of the time, to make a very unique, relevant, and provocative listen. They're not P.E. or p.c. It makes me want to watch porn while eating a burger. Concious!

I don't understand the review for this album. A brillant snapshot of late80's early90's political unrest. The themes that Adam Sherburne and co. address on this album are still relevant today. "Brutal Equation" and "Unity of Oppression" are prime examples of this. Highly reccommended!!!!!!!

With their confrontational, stridently politically correct dance music, Consolidated became a small sensation in the early '90s. Not only was the group openly socialist, but the group incorporated all of their messages into their music; their records are unapologetically political and sometimes antagonizingly so. And it was the politics, not their hip-hop/industrial mix, that earned them attention. After a couple of quiet...
