Album Review

The third album from Jim's Big Ego showcases their smart coffeehouse pop. "Jumblies" is a folky, laidback rendition of the children's story of the same name, while the jumpy, quirky "Ahead of the Curve" details a trend-hopper's laments. The distorted guitars, shouted vocals and samples on "This Message" express the funky, extreme side of the band's sound, and Infantino's smooth delivery and lyrical creativity on Don't Get Smart show why Jim's Big Ego is an East Coast college favorite.

Jim's Big Ego is my favorite band

...and this is my favorite album of theirs. I whole-heartedly suggest it.
