Album Review

Released one year after the band's beefed-up sophomore album, the Hell or High Water EP scales things back. Gone are the stacks of polished harmonies and studio-enhanced guitars, and in their place are seven tracks that emphasize fast, rambunctious emo-pop. These songs aren’t as fastidiously groomed for radio airplay as the previous album, but they’re certainly more believable, and returning fans will be happy to hear the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus find their footing again.

A Sign of Great Things to Come

I am relieved to hear that RJA dropped the poppy crap and went back to their original style. That's not to say another "Your Guardian Angel" wouldn't be welcomed though. As a matter of fact, even though this EP does not have a power ballad, I think most fans, myself included, would really like to hear another. All in all, a great EP, well worth the money.

In the Right Direction

If you were a fan of DYFI then this is definitely a step in the right direction. although it's not completely the same and as awesome, it is only an EP and in regards to that it is well done. i especially enjoy Choke and Hell or High Water. vote it up if rja is getting back to where they should be ;D

The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - The Hell or High Water

All I got to say is that I'm glad the older TRJA is coming back to life. They still have their newer sound, but it's definetaly something their past fans would be pleased with. It's the perfect fusion of old and new.

Edgy, epic; welcome back TRJA.

One of the few screamo bands to land a Top 40 pop hit, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus formed in 2003 in Middleburg, Florida. After writing and rehearsing for 18 months, the bandmembers were urged by several friends to pursue their music seriously. This encouragement led the guys to book themselves several local shows, to the quick embrace of their hometown scene. As the buzz grew, the Red Jumpsuit Apparatus recorded their first EP and began relentlessly spreading their name around Florida. Despite a...
