EDITORS’ NOTES

New Wave’s electronic innovations bathed the ‘80s in sparkles. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the bright, ebullient synth-pop of a-ha’s “Take On Me” or the punchy digital textures of Scritti Politti’s “Perfect Way.” Even rock fell under technology’s sway: Prog titans Yes turned out a wildly futuristic sound on “Owner of a Lonely Heart,” while The Cars swapped guitars for lush keys on the slow-dance classic “Drive.” Los Lobos’ “La Bamba,” on the other hand, saluted the old-fashioned roots of rock ‘n’ roll.

Bang for your buck!

Monket

72 songs for $24.99? Original artists? That's a real bargain (.34 cents per song) I had most of the songs already so I pass on this one, the few ones that I didn't had were "album only". I'm sure I can buy those titles separately, I haven't look them for. One major low is Peter Shilling's Major Tom which is the German Version. I can't seem to find the English version anywhere. C'mon Peter, there's a lot of people out there waiting to get it.

Where's Depeche?

Nina Pennock

Lots of great songs, but how can you name an 80's compilation album after a Depeche Mode song and then not have said song (or band, for that matter) on the album??

OMG!!!!
