About RAIGN
Raign is an English singer and songwriter of dramatic, orchestral pop in the realm of Sia and Florence + the Machine. After working as a songwriter for singers such as Rita Ora, Tulisa, and Jesse McCartney in the early to mid-2010s under her given name, Rachel Rabin, her distinctively resonant voice was featured on the Swanky Tunes song "Fix Me" in 2014, credited to Raign. Around the same time, her own debut single, "Don't Let Me Go," appeared on an episode of The Vampire Diaries. Later that same year, she competed on the 11th season of The X Factor. Though she was eliminated at bootcamp, her audition aired, and an outtake performance found viewership online. Featuring a haunting reworking of "Knockin' on Heaven's Door" that was licensed for multiple TV series, her EP Knocking on Heaven's Door followed in March 2015 on Millionaire London Records. The same label issued the follow-up EP When It's All Over a year later and the four-track Born Again in January 2018. ~ Marcy Donelson
