... a must for every TOWER OF POWER fan. listen to "Don't You Wish ...

A unique sound from a band that never had a top twenty, but whose fans enjoyed their clean, straight ahead style. Just listen to the words (easy to do) in this sampling of songs and you will see this group connected with people through not only their musical style and skills, but the themes they sang about. A little Motown ("It Just Takes a While"), and a little gospel ("I Know You Can") shows the band's versatility. Nice album and a must for die-hard Crackin' fans.

From the beginning...

The very early onset of the band in Omaha Nebraska... Growing up there and being apart of it... A band that deserved, but didn't get their due recognition... I personally was fortunate and privileged to have been able to hang with these guys, and to listen to the music of these accomplished artists... When I listened to their music, I was taken to another level... Throw whatever kind of label you want to affix to their music and you will find that you cannot... Fashion and trend always seems to catch up to, and eventually warp that which is truly original... And, these guys were and still are... The Real Deal... We gained and lost some members through the years... GT Clinton, one of the founding members will always be missed but will always be there in spirit wherever the band plays... Robert (B) Bordy, also one of the founding members, someone who I will always love like a brother was sadly missed at their last reunion in Omaha at the OM Center... Robby Dupree was a welcome guest at their last reunion... Thank you Robbie... I was not able to be at their last reunion... Yet somehow, I was able to feel the beautiful energy way down here in Georgia... Not to be missed... Remembered forever... Thank you Crackin'....... With Love... J. Bernstein
