BUY IT!!!

This album will leave you feeling like you have been slapped in the face by a giant bear!

Shogun is EPIC!!!!

Alright trivium fans.... its here. Im not gonna lie, i was very skeptical at first when i heard the first single for this album, but i've grown to really like this album. Much like to what Matt and Corey said in interviews, the album does blend a good deal of vocals from Ascendancy and The Crusade. The songs are structured together very well, and were recorded perfectly; much more than i can say about some over hyped cd released a few weeks ago (that means YOU metallica). Shogun is a great album. The title track, shogun is amazing. Sonically, its all over the place, but in a good way. It has some pretty crazy leads, and some nice clean breaks in it. I was very impressed by this song, because you can really see how the bands wrighting style has evolved since Ember to Inferno. The bottom line... Buy it.... now

Better Than Ascendency

All you need to know is that 1/2 through listening to the album I went out for a smoke break and felt like I had just gotten beat up. Way to go Trivium, the sound they created in mixing their older styles with the style of the Crusade is pretty amazing. Oh, and I can't forget to praise the amazing guitar work.
