Vince in Unique Form

Reasons for the tears I cry opens with a rhythm ,Guitars come in. Vince’s voice comes in. The song is moving. Than I hook takes you higher in. What a fitting beginning for a collection of tunes that take us to honky tonks, Some Dire Straights sound. And a tear jerker for the great George Jones. There is life in his songs. He didn’t write this for country radio. He wrote this for himself. And it works. Eric Clapton asked Vince to play with the guys on a guitar players tour. I forgot the name of it. Vince used some of that knowledge to create this cd.

When this guy sings and he has the right material and musicans he is force of nature, a pure natural singer who has so much emotion to his vocals. For the most part, this collection of tunes is up there with many of his best stuff. I like the way he strays into other styles of music , some rock, blues, as his traditional sides, he's all good to listen to, he owns heartbreak songs, right up there with many of his great classic recordings.
