What a difference it makes without Gwen!

For the longest time I've always felt bad for Tony, Adrian, and Tom. Although they had a face they never seemed to have a voice in No Doubt. Until now, and boy do you hear them loud and clear. There's only so much I could take of Stefani and when she went Hollywood she was truly wild n' out. Her public drama with her personal life was so annoying because it softened the roar of what was at one time one of the greatest rock bands to come out of California. It also seemed as though because she had washed her hands of No Doubt, that the rest of the band was not allowed to speak unless spoken to. Thank goodness for the uprising, though because these guys have never sounded better! The pulse of the beast is beating in tune with a great sound that cannot nor will not be silenced and what a refreshing engagement for the ear canal. I can finally listen to the radio again without being assaulted by another twisted emo hipster squawk. Adding to this liberation is Davey Havok who seemlessly adding a vocal that genuinely plays well with others. Thank goodness someone out there still enjoys making real music. Can't wait to hear what else Dreamcar has up it's sleeve.

So far, so good!

Haven't heard a Tom Dumont solo since The Return of Saturn's 'Magic's in the Makeup.' I'll be looking forward to the rest of this album.
